‘Medicine for the Soul’: Making Music During the Pandemic

‘Medicine for the Soul’: Making Music During the Pandemic is a song that I made during the Fall 2020 semester amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. I drew inspiration from Zoom interviews with New Yorkers about their feelings and experiences from the past six months. The song is titled “BLUE”, a color and feeling that most of my interviewees and myself identified with. I wanted to get a look into the emotions of others and compare them with my own, realizing that no one is really alone in their sadness and confusion during these uncertain times.
