Rome, New York City, and Tokyo are three great cities that have influenced my photography while here at Fordham. Coincidentally, these three cities have loomed large in the history of the medium.
Using a 35mm camera with black and white film, my work is grounded in the tradition of documentary photography. As Henry Wessel said, “The world is filled with incredible things! So I’m happy to just let my eye be caught by something. If something catches my eye, then that’s enough reason to take the picture.” I go out on the street and point my camera at whatever I come across and my work over the past three years celebrates the everyday pleasure of looking.
