Synonymous with Nothing: From St Petersburg to Beijing on the Trans-Siberian Railway
Displayed are 12 images collected from a trip along the Trans-Siberian and Trans-Mongolian railways. The images are organized into three groups of four. The first image in each group was taken on the train; the second and third were taken on location at various stops along the route; and the fourth is a scan of a photograph found at one of many flea markets along the way. The images are hung at different heights depending on their type, thereby distinguishing the groups from one another and creating a sense of movement within the array.
