The historical idea of a Cabinet of Curiosity was a room that “stored and exhibited a wide variety of objects and artifacts, with a particular leaning towards the rare, eclectic and esoteric.” These exhibits fostered a sense of magical absurdity for the upper class of society but remained inaccessible to the everyday person. Through my combined interests in theatrical design and multimedia art, I’ve created secret worlds hidden within everyday objects that the Fordham community can explore. My miniatures reflect a fascination with the unknown and how we are constantly in dialogue with our collective unconscious.
