This body of work began long before the time of self-isolation; however, it feels appropriate for our current state. The images were made intentionally within my apartment, whereas now we are mostly confined to our homes. On the most basic level, I am interested in light and how it can transform objects and create small moments of beauty. My ordinary subjects—flour, lamps, dishes—serve as vehicles for light and remind us that beauty is all around us if we look carefully.
