a hand in my forgetting
Olivia Toups is a senior visual artist at Fordham University Lincoln Center. Her thesis project, a hand in my forgetting uses a variety of media to explore the relationship between archetypal vilifications of women and lived experiences of trauma. She uses portraits of specific characters to reframe popular and forgotten stories into a collective narrative. The continuation of this narrative into modern life is then explored through lived experiences.
